Terms of use and licence (AGB)

Draft, as of 23 October 2026. Terms of use and licence terms for SEO Bee. They will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. The German version is the binding one.

1. Scope and contracting parties

These terms apply to using the SEO Bee software, the customer account on seo-bee.de and the licences. The provider is Rankerra, owner Ahmed Mahmutovic, Roedersteinstraße 29, 94538 Fürstenstein, Germany ("we").

You buy licences from Paddle.com Market Limited (Paddle), which sells as reseller (merchant of record), issues the invoice and handles payment. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. These terms apply to using the software.

2. Free version

The free version crawls up to 500 URLs per crawl, with no account and no time limit. Some features need a licence; the pricing page lists which. There is no email support for the free version.

3. Licences, users and devices

A licence is for one person. Two people need two licences.
Each licence can be active on two computers at the same time. If you stop using a device, sign it out in your customer account to free the slot.
The licence is tied to your email address. You activate it in the app with that address and a code we email you. The app checks the licence with our server about once a week and keeps working offline for up to 14 days. This is a technical protection measure; it only sends the data listed in the privacy policy.
When you buy several licences at once, the tier price applies to all licences in that purchase.

4. Monthly and yearly licence

The monthly and yearly licences are subscriptions. They renew for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period: through the link in Paddle's email, through "Cancel contracts here" on every page of this website, or by email to support@seo-bee.de. After you cancel, the licence runs until the end of the paid period.

[ENTSCHEIDEN: yearly licence for consumers. Under § 309 no. 9 BGB, renewing automatically for another full year is risky. Options: (a) after the first year, cancellable monthly with a refund of the unused part, or (b) no automatic renewal for consumers, instead an offer for a new year. Businesses can keep yearly renewal.]

5. Lifetime licence (Dauerlizenz)

The lifetime licence lets you use the version of SEO Bee you bought with no time limit.
It gets all updates, both feature and security updates, for at least 5 years from purchase. The end of the update period is shown in your customer account.
After the update period ends, the last version you received keeps working. If we ever switch off the licence server, we will first provide a way to use the lifetime licence without it.
You may resell the lifetime licence. To do so, sign out all devices and send us the buyer's email address; we transfer the licence to them.

6. Beta

An invitation gives you a free beta licence. It lasts the number of months stated in the invitation, counted from the first activation in the app, and then ends by itself. There is no subscription and nothing to pay. The beta may contain bugs; please back up important data. We welcome your feedback but you are not obliged to give it.

7. What you may do with SEO Bee

You may use SEO Bee for your own websites and your clients' websites, including commercially.
Only crawl websites you are allowed to crawl. By default SEO Bee follows robots.txt and the speed you set. If you switch off robots.txt, change the user agent or raise the speed, you are responsible for making sure that is allowed and does not overload the server.
You may not use SEO Bee to get around websites' technical protection measures (for example captchas, bot protection, or logins you are not authorised to use).
You may not bypass the licence check. Decompiling and reverse engineering are only allowed as far as the law expressly permits (§§ 69d, 69e UrhG).

8. Updates

During a subscription and during the update period of a lifetime licence, we provide the updates SEO Bee needs to work as agreed and securely (§ 327f BGB). The app tells you about new versions. If you do not install an update, we are not liable for defects caused solely by that. We only change features during a subscription for a valid reason, such as security, changes in the law, or changes to Google's interfaces. If this makes using SEO Bee more than marginally worse, you can cancel free of charge within 30 days.

9. Defects

The statutory rights for defects in digital products apply (§§ 327 et seq. BGB). Please report bugs to support@seo-bee.de with the version, the operating system and, if possible, the address of the crawled website.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, meaning those you can normally rely on being fulfilled, and only up to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. For the free version and the beta we are only liable for intent, gross negligence and fraudulently concealed defects, as far as the law allows.

11. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal when they buy. You get the withdrawal instructions at checkout and in Paddle's confirmation. You can also withdraw through "Withdraw from contract" on every page of this website and get a confirmation of receipt by email straight away.

For digital content the right of withdrawal ends early if you expressly agreed that performance starts before the withdrawal period ends, confirmed that you know you lose your right of withdrawal by doing so, and we confirmed this to you (§ 356(6) BGB).

12. Prices

All prices on this website are final prices in euros including VAT.

13. Deleting your account

You can have your account deleted at any time (email to support@seo-bee.de). Running licences end with it; paid periods are not refunded unless you have a statutory claim.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will tell you by email at least six weeks in advance. Changes only apply to existing lifetime licences if you agree.

15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers this choice of law only applies as far as it does not remove the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where they normally live. If the customer is a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Passau.
